A REAL BUSINESS
Independence and Leadership Begin with Real-World Skills
As a parent of a homeschool teen, you want them to grow into confident, capable adults prepared for the real world. But let’s face it—traditional education doesn’t always teach the practical, hands-on skills needed to succeed in today’s economy. Too many teens graduate with knowledge but lack the confidence or experience to take initiative and build something meaningful.
The Teen Business Academy empowers your teen to think like an entrepreneur by guiding them step-by-step through the process of starting and running their own business. Whether they dream of launching the next big thing or simply want to test their skills with a small side hustle, this program gives them the tools, confidence, and real-world experience to succeed.
Many successful entrepreneurs began their journeys as teens, learning through trial and error with “starter businesses.”
These experiences didn’t just teach them how to make money—they helped them build critical life skills like problem-solving, resilience, and leadership. Starting a business helps teens:
- Build character.
- Stand out on college applications.
- Learn basic financial skills.
- Learn to create wealth.
- Control their future.
Some of these teen businesses can become large lifetime businesses. Take Mano Watsa, who started a backyard basketball camp as a teen and now trains over 15,000 players annually worldwide. Or our Founder’s nephew, who started doing odd jobs as a teen and has turned that into a profitable landscaping and snow plowing company with full-time employees, all while getting a mechanical engineering degree. He now has options that most don’t.
